Ioannis Maris holds a BSc degree in International and European Economics, an executive MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business as well as an MA in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick. He has an experience of 20+ years in various industries including utilities, renewable energy generation and Oil and Gas.
Ioannis joined Trans Adriatic Pipeline in 2021 and currently is holding the position of Country Representative Manager Greece. Before joining TAP, he has had different roles in major companies such as in the Public Power Corporation (PPC) in Greece and Leonardo in Italy, Greece and Cyprus.
In the energy industry, his area of focus is the European energy transition, energy efficiency, EU legal and regulatory framework, large investment projects in renewable energy systems and renewable gases such as green hydrogen, biomethane and methane emission abatement. He is fluent in English, French and Italian.
