Kiara Konti is a Partner at EY Greece, leading EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) practice in Greece and the CESA (Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia) region. She has subject-matter knowledge and 19 years of experience in sustainability consulting and assurance services, across a series of ESG aspects, including decarbonization, the circular economy, and sustainable finance. Kiara has led more than 300 engagements on climate change and sustainability services, for more than 100 companies, across 25 sectors/subsectors, in Greece, Central and Southeastern Europe. She is a BoD Member of the UNGC Network in Greece, a committee member of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce’s (AmCham) Sustainability Committee, as well as a committee member of AmCham’s Circular Economy Committee, a GRI certified trainer, and an AccountAbility Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner. She has deep knowledge and consulting experience in sustainability strategy and target setting, sustainability governance and management systems, ESG risk and opportunities identification and assessment (including impact analysis/double materiality methodologies), stakeholder engagement, community investment, measurement of non-financial KPIs, socioeconomic outcomes measurement, measurement of social return on investment (SROI), climate/green and sustainability liked bond/loan frameworks, ESG reporting, ESG training and non-financial assurance services. She has been involved in EY global teams for the development of methodologies and solutions on ESG strategy, reporting, materiality analysis (including double materiality) and impact measurement. She is a subject matter expert on ESG standards and frameworks, including GRI, SASB, <IR>, TCFD, UNGC, UN SDGs, SROI, CDP, SBTi, ECOVADIS, SEDEX, ISO 26000, ISAE3000, AA1000AS & APS, AA1000SES, UNEPFI PRB, PRI etc. She has been involved in ESG strategy and compliance engagements for the financial sector, including ECB’s climate and environmental risk expectations, ECB climate stress testing, and the implementation of the UNEP FI Principles for Responsible Banking. She has gained experience in the field of the Circular Economy, having worked on relevant studies, which included legislation overview and assessment, sectorial current state assessment and a gap assessment against leading practices.
