Dámaso Cebrián is Global CIO of Santander Corporate and Investment Banking. He has worked in Grupo Santander for more than 15 years, actively involved in developing innovative financial solutions for corporate and institutional clients, like Supply Chain Finance that he headed globally before joining Santander Securities Services as head of IT and Operations, where he led the creation of the new specialized entities in post-trade services. He is currently heading the technology function of the wholesale banking division of Banco Santander. He initiated his professional career as an entrepreneur, setting up his own consulting firm, before joining Grupo Santander to perform several roles closely related with technology and business development. He is a Telecom Engineer by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and holds a MBA from IESE. He lives in Madrid, where he is married and has 2 kids.
