The maritime industry has been an integral part of David’s career during his 36 years in the commodity and broader financial markets. He started his career focused on the physical trading of Gold bullion and other precious metals, but soon moved to trade and provide brokerage services on the London Metals Exchange. From there he moved to Reuters, the global news and market data provider where he spent twenty-one years in several leadership positions including the management and leadership of their Commodities and Energy market data services. Leaving the then Thomson Reuters in 2013, he joined Interactive Data, which was acquired in 2015 by the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), as General Manager of their Commodity, Energy, Equity and FX desktop services.
In 2018 he joined Pole Star, as Global Commercial Manager, one of the leading providers of vessel monitoring, tracking, and sanctions compliance services to Governments, Flag States, Ship Owners and Operators, Banks, and physical trading companies.
In 2021 he joined The Signal Group as VP of Business Development and Partnerships. He is a member of their Senior Leadership Team focusing on new market areas and bringing his many years of experience to one of the leading maritime technology, commercial ship management and SaaS companies in today’s maritime industry.
