EU Affairs advisor for the “Hellenic Production-Industry Roundtable for Growth” dealing with issues related to the green transition and EU and national Industrial Policy.

Anny Podimata is a journalist, former MEP (2007-2014) and former Vice-President of the European Parliament (2011-2014).

As a MEP she was a member of the ECON (Economic and Monetary Affairs), ITRE (Industry, Technology, Research and Energy) and INTA (International Trade) Committees. She has served as Vice-President of EUFORES (European Forum for Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency).

From 1994 up to 2007 she has worked as a political/diplomatic editor for several Greek newspapers and for the Athens News Agency (ANA). In 2000 she was awarded the Greek-Turkish Friendship Price by the Turkish Association of Radio and TV journalists.

From 1989 up to 1994 she worked as a Paris correspondent for ET1, ANA and To Vima newspaper.

She studied at the Athens School of Philosophy, Faculty of French Language and Literature. She got a EEC post graduate scholarship to attend the “Journalistes en Europe” School in Paris.
