Lefteris Papadimas moved from Greek media and joined Reuters 23 years ago. He studied journalism at the 'Athens Journalism School' and Geopolitical analysis in Middle East and Turkey.

After a service of two years in the Greek Air force as a rescuer he started writing for daily financial newspapers in 1992. Passionate about ethics and unbiased journalism the move to a company like Reuters in 2002 was a natural fit.    

Lefteris is specialising in macroeconomics. As a correspondent based in Athens has covered a range of topics from Greek debt crisis to the refugee crisis in Southeastern Europe. He served as board member in Foreign Press Association of Greece and is also an active member in Athens alpine club.
