His most recent book, The Gap in the Middle. The rise and fall of the middle class in Greece and the world (Papadopoulos Editions, in Greek) was published in 2020. Previously, he had authored a book on Greece’s modernisation politics Between two facets of Greece (Polis, 2006).
During his career in journalism, spanning 30 years, he has anchored an influential prime-time broadcast for more than two decades, in radio stations Flash961, City995 and Athens984 Municipal Radio (1991-2014). In other tenures he was a diplomatic correspondent for the public TV ERT, foreign editor, as well as political correspondent and columnist in ten different political and financial publications.
He was the spokesman of the Chairman of the Eurogroup during the Greek Presidency of the EU (2003) and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the European Law & Governance School. He is currently and Advisor to the CEO for Communications at Eurobank.
He holds a B.A. in Byzantine and Modern Greek Literature from the University of Athens (1988) and an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Reading (1991), the latter on an Onassis Foundation scholarship.
