Michael Stassinopoulos is an executive member of the Board of Directors of Viohalco S.A., a holding company of leading metal processing companies, with production facilities in Greece and several other countries in Europe (e.g Bulgaria, Romania, North Macedonia, United Kingdom). He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elvalhalcor- Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry S.A., the non-ferrous listed subsidiary of Viohalco.
Belonging to the 4th generation in Viohalco’s history, Michael Stassinopoulos was brought up in the industrial world and was involved in the metal processing business since his academic years.
He holds a Bachelor Degree (BSc) in Management Sciences from LSE and a postgraduate diploma (MSc) in Shipping, Trade and Finance from City University Business School, UK.
Michael Stassinopoulos is highly involved on strategic decisions and investments on technological advancement, research and innovation focusing on the Group’s adaptation to the transformational challenge while better exploiting the opportunities that it brings.
Highly committed to raising public awareness on the contribution of industry to the economy, Michael Stassinopoulos was among the initiators of the establishment in 2017 of the civil nonprofit organization “Hellenic Production-Industry Roundtable for Growth” of which he is currently the President of the Board of Directors. He is also member of the Board of the “Council on Competitiveness of Greece (Compete. GR) and a member of the Board of the Foundation “Michail N. Stassinopoulos-Viohalco”. Since 1996 and for several years up to 2019 he was member of the Board of Directors of the “Hellenic Federation of Enterprises” (SEV).
