Athanasios Papanikolaou

Mr. Ath. Papanikolaou was born in Athens. He is a graduate from Varvakios Model High
school, a graduate of the Athens University of Economics and Business with a
specialization in Marketing and holds an MSc in International Management from the
University of INSEAD in France.
He is specialized in Retail and the Management and Organization of large enterprises,
having served as:
General Manager of Continent Hellas (Carrefour), where he worked in France and
in Greece for eight years (1990-1998).
Managing Director in VENETIS S.A., the first bakery franchise chain in the Greek
market, for 3 years (1998-2001).
General Manager (2001-2007) and Managing Director (2007-2011) in EVEREST
Group of Companies.
CEO of the Foodservice sector of VIVARTIA Group of Companies (Goody's, Everest,
Olympic Catering) (2011-2017), while at the same time he serves as the Vice
President of Vivartia Group of Companies (DELTA, Barba Stathis, Goody’s, Everest).
CEO of MIG Group (July 2016-March 2021) one of the largest Investment Groups
in Southeast Europe and Executive Chairman of the Foodservice sector of VIVARTIA
Group of Companies (subsidiary of MIG Group at that time) since February 2018.
Chairman of Hygeia Group, a member of the Hellenic Healthcare Group (November
2016-October 2020).
Since 1st April 2021 (after the acquisition of Vivartia by CVC) Mr. Papanikolaou is the CEO of VIVARTIA Group.

He speaks English and French. He is married and has three daughters.
