Mr. Emmanouil (Manos) Moustakas is an Executive Board Member and General Director
Business Development of GEKTERNA Group. He also holds the position of Chairman of the
Group’s Investment Committee and is a member in various Boards of Directors of subsidiaries in the fields of energy, transportation and mining infrastructure.
In 2002 he entered GEKTERNA Group and had various roles in the construction of large-scale transportation projects and natural gas fired power plants. In 2005 he was one of the two principals that created the Group’s energy trading department, a trade he still honors by keeping a position in the Energy Portfolio Management Committee of the Group. In 2011 he became an executive member of the BoD of the GEKTERNA and since then he has been the responsible Director managing development of all investments above €100m in equity
needs, which till today sum up to transactions of more than €10billion total worth, mainly
motorway and airport concessions, natural gas power plants and large wind farms. His
responsibilities included the long-term specialized support of these assets, such as restructurings, refinancings and M&As. In 2012 he also started looking after the development efforts of renewables in the USA and was later (in 2016 and until 2021) appointed as CEO of TERNA ENERGY USA, which at its peak developed and operated 650MW. In 2014 he was part of the team that managed the expansion of GEKTERNA Group in mining and minerals processing activities. Recently he has been leading the Group’s efforts in developing green and sustainable energy ecosystems to cover for the increasing electricity needs of transportation projects.
