Dimitri Dimitriou was born in Athens in 1954 and graduated from the School of Architecture of Rome University. Since 1981 works as a freelancer mainly in private sector projects. Since 1988 he is president and CEO of construction company D. DIMITRIOU SA.

Since 2002 he is an elected member of the Board of Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and during the years 2006-2011 he held the position of Chairman of the Industry Department of the ACCI. From 2018 is a member of the Executive Board of ACCI.

He is a member of many bilateral chambers.

He is an active member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and the Greek Architects Association, participating in several architectural and technical committees.

 

He has participated as a member of the Board of the companies ARCHITEKTONET S.A., BITSOS DEVELOPMENT S.A., DIONYSUS MARBLE SA and the HD CONSTRUCTA DOO operating in Serbia.

He is certified member of RICS, (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyor) as an expert in management and development. From the year 2018 holds the position of the Member of the board of RICS GREECE.

His activities also include the support with technical and investment advices to many companies and investors, on construction, development of tourist complexes and real estate projects.

From January 2012 up to December 2014 was appointed as special advisor to the Secretary of Public Property to the Ministry of Finance and from February 2013 until December 2014 headed the department established in the same ministry to coordinate the implementation of the development in the old airport of Athens (Hellinicon Project), considered one of the larger urban planning and real estate development in Europe.

From December 2014 to July 2015 was appointed as President and CEO of State Property Company (ETAD), which is responsible for the development of more than 70.000 state owned assets.

He speaks English, French and Italian.
