Esther Pozo Vera has been working for the European Commission since 2008 and with justice and home affairs issues since 2015. She is currently Head of Unit for Asylum in DG Home Affairs and has previously led the unit for Schengen Governance. Ms Pozo Vera is a Spanish citizen and holds an LLM in EU law from the College of Europe and Bachelor degrees in law and in political sciences, both from the University of Murcia.
