Demetris Papadakis

Member of the European Parliament

He was born in Famagusta. After the Turkish invasion in Cyprus, he relocated to Limassol with his family. He studied at the Athens University of Economics and Business.

In 2014, he was elected as Member of the European Parliament, participating in the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Committee on Regional Development, the Committee on Petitions and the ad hoc Committee on Terrorism.

He was re-elected in 2019, participating in the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Committee on Petitions and the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety.

He is a member of the Political Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament.

He has two daughters, Christiana and Evangelia.
