MANUEL NUNES is a researcher, teacher, freelancer journalist author, and photographer and, since 2013, Deputy Mayor of Lousada’s Municipality, in Portugal, where he leads an internationally recognised and award-winning Sustainability Programme based on strong social awareness and engagement through environmental education and nature-based innovative transformative actions. He dedicated more than 30 years to active environmentalism and sustainable management leading NGOs, companies and public institutions, and publishing books or giving lectures in various forums worldwide.
