Vasilis Manavopoulos was born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1984. He is a PhD candidate and research associate at the Cyprus University of Technology. He holds an undergraduate degree from the psychology department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is currently project manager for the DEMOTEC project funded by the European Horizon 2020 scheme (demotec-project.eu) that investigates the putative usefulness of Participatory Budgeting as a tool for policy making at the local level. His main research interests include quantitative research methods and statistics, political psychology and social network analysis.
