Christophoros Christophorou is a leading expert in European media law, regulation, policies, and an established political and elections analyst. Human rights is a focal issue in his interests. He studied at the Cyprus Pedagogical Academy, the Pantios ASPE in Athens, the University Paris X – Nanterre and the University of Lille II, where he obtained his Doctorat de 3e Cycle in Political Science. Christophorou has participated in European media expert bodies, in particular the Eureka Audiovisual (1989-1992) and in Council of Europe media experts groups (1991-2001). He represented the Council of Europe in tens of seminars and conferences and produced expert reports on media and other subjects.
