Counter-Trafficking Practice Consultant

Rachel Witkin has 25 years experience of working on a frontline, trauma-informed basis with survivors. As a Director at Helen Bamber Foundation she devised and ran HBF’s Counter-Trafficking programme which provides survivors with tailored, long-term support, safeguarding from re-trafficking and documentation for legal procedures. Rachel trains professionals on the ‘Trauma Informed Code of Conduct for all Professionals Working with Survivors of Human Trafficking and Slavery (TiCC)’ and is lead consultant and author for the ‘OSCE/ODIHR National Referral Mechanisms Handbook’. She promotes and works with professional survivor-leadership bodies, and as a partner for the MSCOS study at Kings College London, she designed and directs the MSCOS Community of Practice (www.MSCOS.online).
