Anna Iasmi Vallianatou is an Academy Associate at the Europe Programme of Chatham House. She conducts legal and policy research on European asylum and migration policies, with a focus on human rights considerations, migration diplomacy, and the institutional interplay between European and national authorities.
Anna Iasmi has previously worked in British and Greek non-profit organisations providing legal and advocacy support on matters of international and European human rights law, and has also coordinated projects on women’s empowerment and the protection & integration of refugees and asylum seekers. She has also worked as an associate at an international corporate law firm and interned at the European Commission in Brussels.
Anna Iasmi holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Athens. She is an EU qualified lawyer and a member of the Athens Bar Association.
