George Rossolatos has over 20 years’ experience as a private equity investor and entrepreneur.  George is the founding CEO of the Canadian Business Growth Fund (“CBGF), a C$545 million growth capital investment fund backed by Canada’s largest financial institutions, focused on helping mid-market companies in Canada reach their full potential since its inception in 2018.   George brings a unique perspective to the companies backed by CBGF having extensive investing, operating, governance and turnaround experience. 

Prior to CBGF, George was CEO of Avante Logixx Inc. from 2010-2017 where his mandate was to determine the public company's strategic direction and vision and execute the go forward plan, which included a successful operational turnaround, an organic growth initiative and an acquisition strategy.

Prior to Avante, George worked in the private equity industry for 10 years.  He was a Partner and co-founder of TorQuest Partners Inc. a mid-market Canadian private equity buyout fund from its inception in early 2002 until 2010, which had over C$700 million under management.   George’s previous roles included experience as an investment principal at Harrowston Inc., a publicly traded merchant bank, and five years with Ernst & Young LLP managing a group focused on middle market companies.

As a Fellow of the Chartered Public Accountants (FCPA - Ontario) and CPA, George holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a B.Com. (Honours) from Queen’s University and was born and raised in Ottawa.  He was recognized in 2007 as one of Canada's Top 40 under 40 and is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization and has volunteered with a number of charitable organizations over many years, including the Hellenic Heritage Foundation, Hellenic Canadian Board of Trade and the Greek Community of Toronto.
