Theodoros Arvanitopoulos

Dr Theodoros Arvanitopoulos is an economist interested in energy economics, economic growth, and applied econometrics. His research lies at the intersection of energy demand and supply dynamics, and examines the contribution of economic growth and technological innovation on climate change mitigation. He is Research Officer at the Hellenic Observatory, LSE, and Visiting Lecturer in Economics at King’s Business School, King’s College London. He holds a PhD in Energy Economics from UCL and a MSc in Economics from the University of Nottingham. In the past, he has held research positions at the University of East Anglia and LSE, and teaching positions at King’s College London and UCL. Theodoros has engaged extensively in policy-oriented research projects with the OECD, the European Commission Joint Research Centre, the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and the UK Climate Change Committee.
