Nenad Stankovic, attorney at law and senior partner at law firm Stankovic and Partners.

Nenad graduated from Belgrade University Law School and has been a member of the State and Belgrade Bar Association since 1998.

As a partner at Stankovic & Partners (NSTLAW), he handles some of the largest, most complex disputes in the region, acting either as lead counsel or local counsel - something that sees him working closely with some of the best known international law firms in the world. Areas of expertise range from general company and commercial litigation, through real estate, energy and natural resources, environment and construction disputes, to banking, IP and IT, employment and competition.

Over the course of his career he has been responsible for representing clients in some of the most challenging and highest profile cases, including advising on the EUR 1 billion plus financial restructuring of a copper mine and smelting complex (the biggest ever insolvency-related financial restructuring in Serbia); assisting the Serbian electric power industry with the unbundling process and with a corporate restructuring; and representing a number of foreign investors in high value investment arbitrations.

With his thorough understanding of the mining industry and the needs of clients in this field, Nenad was one of the founders of the recently established Association for Development of Geology and Mining. The goal of this association is to assemble a group of leading geologists, investors and attorneys in order to accelerate and improve activities in the sector, as well as raise awareness with the general public.
