Mikhail Zlobin serves as the Associate Director and Equity Portfolio Manager for Natural Resources at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), located in London.
For more than three decades, EBRD has been actively involved in financing mining projects using a diverse array of financial instruments, ranging from senior debt to equity. Recognising the industry-wide funding gap, especially for junior mining companies, the Bank has been increasing its engagement in equity financing during the early development stages, post Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA).
Mikhail is responsible for overseeing the Bank's equity and quasi-equity investments within the mining sector and has played a key role in various transactions, particularly in the critical raw materials.
With over 15 years of experience in banking and corporate finance, Mikhail has also held several non-executive director positions. Before joining EBRD in 2011, he enjoyed a successful corporate career.
Mikhail holds a master's degree in Finance and is a CFA charterholder
